Diana and Denis got married at Altos de Chavon and we joined them again in Bayahibe for their urban Trash the Dress 2 days later. We always did the urban shoots around Punta Cana and this area was new for us.
We left home without a clue of where we would go but we just stop in a small village a few minutes before Bayahibe and we LOVED IT. We felt as welcomed as usual even if nobody knew us. People invited us in their homes and we had some unbelievable moments. Have a look at the images below and see by yourself.
“The urban shoot was so much fun! We could have stayed in town all day exploring and meeting the locals. Coming from a fast paced city where it’s rude to smile at someone passing you by on the street, it was so refreshing to be welcomed into people’s homes, local shops and businesses.
We are so grateful to have experienced more of the country and gotten a small taste of their culture. We could never have seen this in the fancy resorts that are designed for tourists. I’m also really grateful that I bought a comfortable pair of shoes to wear for scaling mountains made of car tires! What really made the experience a lot of fun is that you gave us control of the shoot. You asked for our input and no suggestion was too silly.” Diana
