From my first skype interview with Amanda I knew that their Hard Rock Punta Cana wedding would be awesome because of all the energy and love she put into into it and we are so glad to have been able to document their day.
Amanda and Will met back in 2006 during a Girls Night! “I saw Will across the room with his guys and the first thing I noticed about him was his smile which at the time he wore braces that I thought were so cute.” She remembered saying to her friend “He is so fine and I am curious to know more about him little did I know he was looking my way too!” They gained eye contact and that night on the town transpired into their love story…the start of their new journey happened the night of March 2013. Amanda was traveling with her job and away from home a lot which caused her to miss her 30th birthday. Everyone was aware how disappointed she was about not being home for this day, therefore she was given a birthday party upon her return home! Little did she know Will had something up his sleeve and had planned to ask for her hand in marriage. With a ring falling from the ceiling and Will down on one knee this night turned into their engagement party!
It was a perfect day and below are Amanda’s comment and review:
There were so many emotions that took place for us on our wedding day! We both were completely in the moment and really tried taking in the times we had with our family and friends. Our day was everything we could have imagined and most of all we were able to share it with the individuals who have supported our journey. A big thank you to our travel agent, Kathy Primm from Sue Smith Vacations. She truly made sure our guest accommodations were executed for our wedding.
As for our resort selection, the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana exceeded our expectations and most of all took care of Team Farmer! Our guest are still talking about how much they enjoyed the resort and the amenities at the property. The Hard Rock wedding vendors provided a unique element to our beach setting. We decided to keep our wedding set-up simple with a personal touch from our officiant, Dr. Harold Betton who brought forth a peaceful serenity to the ceremony. Our pineapple centerpieces from Mercaflor and the added additions from Caribbean Celebration & Creative Punta Cana helped show a unique element to our reception. Our focus for the reception was to have FUN and Telly Noel our Master or Ceremony was our wow factor to set the bar! There were so many heartfelt moments for us, but the fact we were able to have our parents on this journey completely took my new hubby and I emotionally to another place. The advice I would give a future bride is to take full advantage of taking in each moment and not allowing yourself time to dwell on the negativity that may transpire during your wedding journey.
Change will happen during your journey, but remember at times it’s only for the BEST! This is how we had the pleasure of working with Photo Souvenir. We made a decision during our wedding process to go a different direction with our photographer and we definitely do not regret the choice. Severine and Renaud completely captured every moment throughout our wedding day and most of all we feel each photo reflects the WA Love Story!
Here are a few out of thousands of images ( was so hard to choose). And don’t miss out their awesome Urban shoot.
